Island Life in Koh Samui, Thailand
I took a lot of images on my travels. 16,000 to be exact. I'm not sure what the rhyme or reasoning will be behind sharing them. I guess whatever I feel compelled to share in the moment. There are so many stories, so many moments behind every single one. With one glance I can see myself in that exact moment. Riding on the back of a scooter or ATV, one hand holding on for dear life, the other clinging to my camera.
Today I woke up thinking about Ko Samui, Thailand. The days spent on this little island were some of my favorite days in Thailand. The original intention was to stay 3 days. We stayed for 9. I had my favorite restaurant, my running path, my $5 a day scooter rental and a villa overlooking the ocean. What more can a girl ask for.
Time was spent cruising through the mountains on our scooter, hiking to waterfalls, relaxing by the pool and beach, listening to podcasts, eating sriracha tofu and summer rolls, drinking fresh coconuts and $0.60 Changs, chasing geckos out of our room, sitting on the balcony watching the sunset and thinking about how damn good life is.
I can see how easy it is to get caught up in Thailand. I've read so many stories of people who come to Thailand and end up staying month after month, or never leaving at all. Thailand was a destination that lived up to the hype. Without a doubt, I know I'll be back.
